Fasting doesn’t fix your problem or situation, fasting fixes you while you’re in the situation. Fasting gives you the faith to speak to whatever your situation is and demand that it lines up with the Word of God. When we fast, it activates the measure of faith that God has distributed to every person He created. Our faith increases when we enter into fasting.
We all have faith. It took faith to accept Jesus into our hearts. BUT FASTING BRINGS YOU INTO A GREATER MEASURE OF BELIEF! Faith makes us believe for things that are beyond our natural reach! Fasting gives us the power to speak faith and not doubt! Fasting destroys unbelief in our lives. Fasting is the key to speak those things that be not, as though they were. So today, speak faith into your situation and destroy doubt!
Let’s challenge ourselves during this season! During these twenty days of fasting, don’t forget to spend time today reading the Bible, worshipping God in your private time, serving in our church and your community. And set aside that dollar for every member of your family so when we break the fast together on Sunday, January 26th each member of your family will be able to sow in that offering. We will close our 20:20 fast with a worship night for family and friends that Sunday evening. We are anticipating what God is going to do in us and through us during these twenty days.
