I want to share a powerful thought with you. Proverbs 18:21 says, “death and life are in the power of the tongue.” Think for just a moment of the ramifications of this single truth. What power, what capability, what authority this one scripture holds within it, and what an awesome responsibility it places on each one of us. Every day we are either speaking life or we are speaking death.
We know that God’s Word is life! In John 6:63, Jesus said “the words that I speak are Spirit, and they are life.” His Word breathes life into every area, into every situation, and every struggle that we find ourselves in. Your tongue has the power to speak life! No matter how long you’ve been fighting that battle, or climbing that mountain, or dealing with that situation - your tongue has the power to speak life! This is the year where words are so important. This is the year where what you SAY will determine what you SEE.
As Passover season approaches, I would like you to consider your words. I don’t know what you might be needing or desiring of the Lord, or what miracle you may be believing for; but I do know that what you are saying is either birthing breakthrough or pushing it further away. The seed you sow on Easter Sunday is a miracle seed, just as Christ was the Father’s miracle seed. What we are saying and what we are sowing in faith will become the harvest we are believing for.
